    Hairdresser that speaks English?

I recommend Terrie Orr too. Always a pleasure to have your hair cut with her. She really listens to what you want to have done and the cut always grows out really well. Thanks to Terrie I have remained mullet-free in BA!

I am selling a basic Nokia phone that I bought here about 9 months ago. Perfect for making calls and writing texts and errr... not being paranoid that you'll get robbed for having a fancy iphone :) Comes with charger and Movistar SIM. I am close to Alto Palermo shopping for anyone wanting to...

Spanish classes for someone in their 60s?

She is basically a complete beginner, apart from the odd Spanish CD that she has listened to. She is quite keen to have group classes rather than one-to-one and I think at that level that it's also more productive, interesting and fun to do so.

Spanish classes for someone in their 60s?

Anyone interested in joining group Spanish classes?? (intermediate-advanced)

So I have learned most of the tenses and the 'moods' of castellano, but need to have a bit of a refreshers course and get more used to practicing them verbally. I am trying to get a group of people together, maybe 3-4 of us at around the same level to have classes about twice a week for 1.5-2...

    Where to watch Copa America

I really want to watch the opening game tomorrow between Argentina and Bolivia. Does anyone have any suggestions of a bar where it will be showing (i'm guessing almost anywhere that has a TV!) that has a good buzzing atmosphere?

    Cooking in Argentina

This is a great thread! I have also been doing a fair bit of baking recently and have struggled to get certain things. I made pumpkin pie a couple of weeks ago and was thrilled to find brown sugar in my local grocery shop. However, as my flatmate pointed out it is actually white sugar that has...
