For me, going to Tigre is a vacation, not a staycation, if I spend the night.
My Argentine husband hates tango.
Some nice observations though. I agree that coffee breaks and long dinners are a good thing. I would also add to the list that vacations are sacred--even if you don´t travel you disconnect from the office. Argentina has really taught be the importance of not working all the time.

I tried to guess what the list might say by making my own list before I clicked on the link. I put:


1. Polite social interactions leading into business
2. How to graciously extend social time
3. Public transportation
4. Lasting construction
5. Quality elegant symbolism on a short advertising budget
6. Distributed competition in mom and pop stores
7. Mate and tango
8. How to stay up late

I'll start.


1. Trying to scam everyone you do business with is not good for profits in the long term.
2. Trash should be thrown in a trash can.
3. Dog shit goes in the trash can too.
4. Pedestrians have the right of way.
5. It's not worth killing or dying over a sporting event.

Interesting read. I agree with some of the point, especially making time for family. I miss those Sunday get togethers, and try as I might, I can get my family together more than on Christmas or Thanksgiving.

Lasting Construction?? A third of the jobs I do involve repairing things done 10 to fifteen years ago, if not less...
