We found a bat and handed it to the local animal hospital in Caballito as far back as 2007 and they called us to say it was rabid. Seems to be horses for courses in Bsas.

Bats with rabies are a common finding, hence the warning they give in case you catch one or get bit by one.

interesting that Chile and Uruguay don't have it according to that

3% of bats have rabies. Beware if you see them flying during the day.
