Again: Questions About A Bank-Account In Uruguay

I've been looking at earlier threads about opening an account in one of the banks in Colonia but couldn't find the answer to this question:
how much is the maintaining fee for a simple cuenta caja de ahorro or another current account? I don't need another credit card.
I saw at the site of the BROU that they have accounts in US Dollars AND Euros, and since I've my money in Europe it would be wiser to have one in Euro's, no?
and why open a bank-account in Uruguay? Two reasons: I'm looking to buy a property in BsArs so I need dollars or euros nearby in order to pay and to change for daily costs here.

Anybody another suggestion than the Brou?
