(as always, the banner is in Castellano, and the story will initially appear in that tongue. Just wait a few seconds and it will change to English)

The president of the block of Buenos Aires senators* of the Frente de Todos, Teresa García , analyzed this Tuesday the electoral set-up of the ruling party for 2023 and assured that there must be a "selection criteria" of candidates that guarantees that the best ones present themselves.

On AM750, García stated forcefully: “If he (for Alberto Fernández) determines that he wants to go to a PASO, that's fine. But it seems to me that society has already said no."

When your own party tells you "eff off, we don't even want you in the primary", you are well and truly hosed.

*Obviously, they mean the province of Buenos Aires.

After reading this I now suppose that the party seems to know, and they will leave him to be the sacrifice.

Quizzed about the ruling coalition's potential candidates for office next year, Kirchner responded bluntly that "Peronism has no candidates" other than the current office-holder. "Alberto said he is going to be a candidate," said Kirchner.

…He also cast doubt over the idea that President Fernández should face a PASO primary election with other competitors, describing the idea as "strange" for "a party in office."

The "internal" as it's called has been really strong lately; rats fleeing a sinking ship not wanting to have the stench of Alberto on them when he loses perhaps.
