Anniversary Hotel In Centre?

Hi BA Expaters,

Any recommendations for a one night Anniversary hotel in Downtown BA. We live out in the night life/highlife dead zone of Hurlingham and have arranged baby sitters for the evening so will be able to have a weekend away pretending we live the life of a footloose and fancy free, childless, loved up couple. As such I'm looking for a luxurious but not too exorbitant hotel in the centre.

Any ideas/suggestions/put downs welcome!

I stayed at the Hilton last december for $150 USD but paid in blue came to $100. With in stumbling distance from several bars and a nice modern hotel, not the most "hip", more a business hotel.

what about a nice boutique hotel, i see a bunch in palermo and they look pretty fancy! palermo is full of bars and restaurants to have a childless night out!!!

Home Hotel in Palermo is worth consideration - plenty of good restaurants and nightlife nearby, and they will even provide their own mini-guide to the neighborhood.

Home Hotel in Palero Holywood is an excelent choice (the spa is a plus ) and Mine Hotel in Palermo Soho is also very good.

Sheraton Libertador ha a great anniversary package that includes massage for two, dinner, breakfast in your room and late check out. The one at Panamericano is also very good - no massage though.

Serena Hotel is the place. I took my wife there last weekend and she loved it.

Very cool and chic. Try to go for an executive suite if your budget allows, huge difference.

Also one of the nicest spas in the city. Have dinner at Mancinis next door.

Hotel Faena has the best bar in town and one of the best tango shows too. It kind of reminds me of Dracula's house. It's very cool and hip.

Faena is way overpriced IMO and it's an expensive cab ride to everything from there unless you want to stay in puerto madero.

I am hijacking your thread, but does anyone have a similar recommendation only an hour or two's drive outside the city?

It's our anniversary, but we live in the city so not looking for a hotel in Cap Fed. Mid Sept.
