I always wonder why people don't mention the price of rents in the add. Why not give all the info right away?

It's a sales tactic. If you see a nice place, go to visit it and picture yourself living in it, you're likely to pay a bit more. Even if you call and demand the price over the phone, they're infinitely more likely to be able to up your budget a bit or switch you another place they manage than if you had just seen the price, said it was too much, and never contacted them.

It is horribly annoying though.
