Hi! I was recently married here in Buenos Aires to an Argentinian Citizen. I have finished applying for my permanent residency online and am waiting for my appointment to bring all of my documentation. However, my tourist visa is about to expire. Should I go get my visa extended while I wait for my appointment from immigration?

It would be the safe thing to do, it's not a big deal (to my knowledge) and you are better off that way. Didn't' they give you a "precaria" residence with your filing for permanent residence?

Once your documents have been "äccepted" you automatically get a 90 day prorroga (extension).

The precaria is given after the documents are physically submitted.
