I didn't apply for residency there, but I did do the applicaton for a work visa.... it was terrible. They had to review all the documents miltiple times, and it took a minimum of 2 weeks every time, even if I only added 1 additional paper. Every time they reviewed my paperwork, they came up with something new that was missing. It seemed very random and unorganized.
Now granted that it may have been the person specific to work visa's, and you may have a different experience applying for residency, but the process for a work visa was pretty frustrating. They won't even take any phone calls, it had to all be done over email or in-person!
