Since I didn't get anything that was on my real Christmas list (we got a new refrigerator) I thought I'd do something for myself today.
I moved here in February from San Diego where I could swim, bike, run and race 12 months of the year. Practically my entire social network and community was made up of triathletes, cyclists, runners, and skiers. Unfortunately, Buenos Aires doesn't have the weather, or infrastructure, that we had in San Diego but I'm seeing a bunch of cyclists and runners in the city so I'm hopeful for at least a 2nd-world version of what I had there.
Went to the web and found some sites of runners' clubs here. Pinged a few of them. Does anyone here have any experience with running and biking clubs in BsAs? How about bike shops? I'm a little bummed that I left my road bike back in the States. Didn't bring it because I was advised that I'd get it stolen at gun-point. However, reading the stories of bike shops not having basic parts has me re-re-considering.
Many thanks in advance.
