I receive a newsletter from the site above, and today the news snippets included this -

Argentina Cuts Energy Subsidies. The reformist Milei government in Argentina has cut energy subsidies in the Latin American nation by $2.7 billion in the first seven months of 2024, with the Energy Ministry claiming the country achieved an energy trade balance surplus of $2.9 billion in January-July.

No huge big deal, it's just unusual to see this country even mentioned in such reports, although we did also make the news at the same site on Wednesday, when it was noted that Argentina contains about 13% of all known Lithium reserves in the world, number three after Chile (34%) and Australia (22%)
