According to a NYTimes article Argentina is the number one exporter of soccer players in the world. They may be right.

Football is incredibly corrupt here, they need to make it so that clubs own the players and its illegal to have people like this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kia_Joorabchian owning the players and controlling all the profits etc.
Anyone know what happened to the crazy 50 odd team league they had planned?
