Argentina's future beyond agriculture

Given the right policies, Argentina has the potential to be wealthy. Developing new industries requires investment, and that is where the problem is. If Kirchnerism sees investments, they are not thinking about supporting it, they see the money and want to take as much of it as they can. Pan para hoy, hambre para mañana. If everything you invest is taken away, you are not going to invest and that is what is happening. Hence the perpetual capital flight, which together with the permanent budget deficit and unproductive subsidies is a driver of inflation and poverty.
