Hi,
I'm going to be arriving in Buenos Aires in two weeks to work and live for 1-2 years. I plan on doing some travel around Argentina and South America during my assignment in Buenos Aires. I know Buenos Aires fairly well, but not so much the rest of the country/continent. I'd prefer not to lug heavy guidebooks down there since I already have so much stuff and don't know exactly where I'll be traveling. Are good English language guidebooks (Lonely Planet, Rough Guide) available there in stores? I'd be willing to pay slightly more than in a U.S. bookstore.
Is there any general South America guidebook that you'd recommend?
