It is an interesting experience --but nothing like what you would experience at Teatro Colon. Very different indeed.

This is located adjacent to the Club Biblioteca where Mickey was singing Frank Sinatra songs.

It is a paid event. I do not know the pricing of the tickets as I usually am presented a few free tickets to attend this event.

Tickets are FREE and given out starting at 18:30 the day of each performance at 20:30. This is an outstanding company of dancers. Like the national symphony and symphonic band, all their concerts are free. Just go early for tickets. Two per person.

I saw the Thursday performance. It's not to be missed, chicas, if you've never seen real men dance, particularly Argentines. I've seen the company before, but they outdid themselves with tonight's performance. What an incredible show right from the start!!!!!! We sat in the sixth row. There was a full house.

Go Friday at 6:00 to the box office and get two tickets for the performance at 20:30 hs. They are FREE.

Three more performances are scheduled during May.

ARTEsanos de la danza - Ballet Folklorico Nacional

Sunday, May 18 at 18 hs
Monday, May 19 at 20,30 hs
Tuesday, May 20 at 20,30 hs.

Teatro del Globo (Marcelo T. De Alvear 1155)

Obtain free tickets at the theater two hours before the performance.

The theater wasn't full for last night's performance of Ballet Folklorico Nacional. I was there at 5:30 to be in line for tickets, but they didn't open the box office until 7:00. I had a sixth row center seat for this incredible show, different from the one presented last month.

If you don't have anything on your agenda and don't mind the rain, go to the theater around 8:00 and get your reserved ticket for the finest dance company Argentina has to offer. The show has Mexican, Cuban, Contemporary, folk and tango. I guarantee you'll feel the energy and joy these dancers transmit in their performances.

More performances of Ballet Folklorico Nacional with a new show:

Ballet Folklorico Nacional returns with three more performances at Teatro Globo (just around the corner from MORE money transfer on Libertad) at 20:30 hs. Free tickets are handed out starting 90 minutes before the performance each day. That means you can't go on Friday for tickets to the Sunday performance. http://www.cultura.g...ro-del-globo-3/

I am surprised to see that this ridiculous word (folklorico) also exists in Spanish. I thought this jury rigged word only existed in Portuguese.
