I read somewhere that it i easy to open a bank account here in BA without an Argentine Id. If this is true, how do I do it?

We used to have a bank account at BNP Parisbas, that was easy. All we needed was a pasport. Now they have become Santander, and there it is a lot harder : they do not open accounts when you have only a pasport or DNI on temp visa... So I think you should just shop banks to see who accepts you and who does not.

HSBC still accepts you. Get a CUIT first as described on the forum before.
