Best Dog Food / Dog Food Retailer in BA

Hi everyone, I’m American and new to the city. Can anyone recommend a specialty shop that sells high-end dog food? Are there any high-end Argentine dog food brands that anyone can recommend? I’ve found one or two boutique brands, but from the ingredients it seems to me that they do not provide a complete nutritional profile.

In the states I usually buy Orijen or Taste of the Wild, but from looking at the manufacturers’ websites it looks like there are no Argentine importers of these brands. In my research the most common brands I’ve found are Eukanuba, Purina, and Royal Canin, and none of the specific lines from those brands have gotten 4- or 5-star ratings on DogFoodAdvisor.com. Many of these have also been recalled recently in the US.

I have a Jack Russell Terrier and a Rat Terrier, both 7 years old.

I’ve been here for 4 years. I brought two dogs with me from the states. The dog food here is inedible for anyone. Took me about two years to realize I was going to have to make my own. Now my dogs are healthy and fit because they are not eating that manufactured crap.

In answer to your question, no there are no high end dog foods here. Even the middle range dog foods are made in South America and are much worse than their counterparts in the states.
