Hi, I know it’s far from ideal to bring several bags (6) full of (used) electronics from Europe into Argentina but there are not really alternatives. So planning to do the trip and wrap the luggage up in plastic and pray it won’t get stolen on the way.

That said, from what I’ve read in the forum it should actually be ok! (much to my surprise lol)

Is this still so in 2025 (most comments and topics I read were dated around 2011-2020 mostly

Any tips maybe?
Cheers!

Till now I always came through with several computers, monitors, phones, other electronics, without any problems. But 6 big bags full on one person? Have no idea, but then I don't understand at all why they even bother scanning stuff when departing ezeiza..

From a flight security perspective there should be no problem with the gear since none of it is battery powered

I’ve reconsidered my packaging actually and am currently planing to do 2 trips. First flight would be with a total of 4 bags (split into 2 large/2small ones respectively). 3 bags overall would be no problem right?

That does seem more reasonable. If they do search your bags it will be to find items to tax, like several new or slightly used phones.

I often arrive with two 50lb bags, and two carryon bags. Lots of small electronics mixed with clothes, food, and household items. Not 100% electronics as your post seems to indicate. Less often I have added a third oversize sporting goods bag. I have never had to pay, but have had the bags emptied looking for something worth taxing.

Dear Mr. 88.....I suspect that nothing that is said so far is going to impact the reality of what you situation may turn out to be.

Hi Caribbean, what do you mean? What's the 'reality of what my situation may turn out to be' likely going to be from your experience?
