What is the law about bringing money into Argentina? If the amount is $10,000 USD is there any need to declare anything? Is there any need to declare a sum under $10,000 to the US authorities when you leave?

People here are saying, better dollar or 10 less, and you're OK. I sadly never tried myself for obvious reason

Its 10k amost everywhere in the world.

if you bring in 10k , you will probably not take too much out anything under 10k is fine

http://www.afip.gov.ar/english/touristInformation.asp states the law on entry and exit of currency.
