I have arrived in Buenos Aires and I´m looking for a job or any leads to a job .I have been working in kitchens for 7 years.
I have worked in New Zealand and Australia and have just finished working in Scotland.
I will be living in the city for the near future and I´m open to any ideas for work may it be a hotel or restaurant, school or hostel, just as long as its cooking or food preparation.
My Spanish is not great but I´m learning and also looking for Lessons or a course. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I know that L'atelier de Celine in San Telmo urgently needed a chef (at least they did a couple of weeks ago) as their head chef was moving on. They don't pay very well though.

Maybe personal referrals , personal interviews and local experience may be a plus with Spanish command.

Craigslist is a good source for jobs? probably is old hat for you?

I think you need to network with english and american chefs who are already working.
Places like NOLA, La Cresta, Coffeetown, the english pubs, where there are people you could talk to .
As an expat without a work visa, you are going to have to work in negro, and those jobs are almost all word of mouth jobs.
To get that word of mouth, you need to talk to people in the biz, in person.

Yes good luck, its mumm lets say a difficult time and for me to employ without any paper work, id be up the creek without a paddle... putting it mildly and im a brit here .
