I'll be spending three weeks in Buenos Aires again this August. Having lived there in 2007-2008 I'm familiar with the standard tourist circuit (Obelisco, Cemeterio de Recoleta, La Boca, San Telmo)

But I'm looking for more interesting places to visit in Capital and the Conurbano. So advice about that GREAT neighbourhood parilla, that neighbourhood with particular architecture etc are more than welcome. Anything goes, really.

Do not forget the feria de mataderos, and the many atractions in the Tigre area(casino, amusement park, puerto de los frutos, etc)

You can go walk around Parque Chas ( the neighborhood shaped like a labyrinth ), The mansions in Belgrano R, while you are in the area you have to stop at Lo de Charly ( open 24 hs ) the best parrilla in the neighborhood http://parrillalodecharly.com.ar.

Feria de Mataderos is on my wish list (as is seeing a match of Nueva Chicago ;)). And I completely agree with the Tigre day trip! Enjoyed some nice sunday afternoons there.

A day trip to San Antonio de Areco is interesting, too. I'ts about an hour and a half from BA. Lots of gaucho stuff there, plus a nice calm river for some rowing.

There are many beautiful areas of the city to see outside Capital Federal besides Tigre. Nordelta, Pilar, Capilla del Senor, or you can take a bus to Lujan. If you wish to go to the beach Carilo and Pinamar are beautiful places to stay. There are a lot of groups here that you can join: tennis clubs, bicycling groups, wine tasting groups, etc. You can find a lot if you look in Google in Spanish.
