Buying dollars, where and rates

Hello all,

I am aware that pretty much the only way to buy dollars is on the black market but i dont know how to do that or where! does anyone have ideas of rates and how to go about it.

Hi everyone.

I will be travelling to Chile ~ Argetine in a few weeks!
Have been reading the forum a couple of times and decided to join this forum.

A question for you experts..
Where can I get the best "cambio" Dollars to Argie Pesos.?
How do I know that I'm not given "fake" pesos ?
Is is best to change dollars at teh AirPort of entry ?

The Airport only gives the Official rate..!!
If you have no contacts in BA then must head down Florida street and find a street Cambio person, and look for 6.15 or better. Cambio solicitors in every corner.
How to avoid fake pesos? obtaining a fake bill detector that works on batteries? no other known method.

Thank you Rich One. So the Cambio houses on Florida street, are they trustworthy? I mean, I don't want to end up with a bunch of fake pesos
and trying to pay with those "fakes" and be arrested !
