can one get health insurance before arriving in BA?

have read the various health insurance threads on this site and am convinced that traveler's insurance won't cut it for 6 months in BA - definitely going to buy some sort of argentine private insurance. regardless of what company i choose, can it be done from the states, or is this something that has to wait until you get there? thanks in advance.

A health plan in BA may not cover for pre existing conditions.

You will have to sign something when you set up your plan, so it will have to be done here.
