Can You Bus To Carmelo?

I want to do a visa run to Uruguay by bus just for the day if possible... I'm not finding any bus to Carmelo on Plataforma10. Any tips? Not finding buses to Colonia either!!

Going by bus is too time-consuming for a daytrip, in my opinion. Why not the boat to Colonia or Carmelo (which takes longer)?

I've heard bad things about the border patrol @ the Tigre-Carmelo ferry. I just discovered Colonia Express though so may just opt for their half-day package which includes a city tour! Never been.

Isn't that interesting. I have encountered incredible rudeness for Argentina (I find rudeness rare in Argentina) at Tigre. I also avoid going through Tigre.
