Car Honking

"Banderazo" against Vicentin's expropriation. Started on the Dia de la Bandera - Flag Day - in Cordoba, Chaco, Entre Rios, etc. and extended to Buenos AIres. Quite noisy outside the Presidential home in Olivos.

There's a feriado every week and a protest every night. I don't even ask anymore. Just put on some noise-cancelling headphones and drown it out.

They say is La 125 revisited..? Is this the beginning of something a coup? May AF resign to give the sceptre to Cristina..?

At this point we can only have hot little fantasies and naughty private thoughts about Albie flying away in his helicopter for good.

But I do think it is a good reminder that the people, although "locked up" at home, are watching and will only take so much bullshit from Albie et al. Most Argentines do not want to go back to the expropriation era.

Not disagreeing with you because I don’t have enough knowledge on it but wanted to share that actually most of the Argentines that I socialise with are pro albie - which isn’t at all the viewpoint I *ever* tend to see on this forum! But it’s interesting for me to share with them the counter agreements that I read here (which they call ignorant and fully disagree with of course)

I think it is worth pointing out that on this issue not all Peronists agree with expropriation - for example, the Sergio Massa (Pres. chamber of deputies) and Omar Perotti (Governor of Santa Fe) camps are opposed to expropriation, as are more moderate followers. Even Roberto Lavagna who actually lead the expropriation of YPF under K as the economy minister and ran as an independent for the last presidential elections came out staunchly against further expropriations stating that they just don't work and end up costing more money than they actually recover as well as obviously eroding trust that private property is safe in Argentina. There are also doubts raised about the legality and constitutionality of it.

All Peronistas that I associate when questioned about AF policies respond immediately, What About Macri ?? etc. this is the standard Argie knee jerk reaction. Also called the You too Phalacy , "tu quoque" in latin. In pig latin means If I say' Kirchneristas stole money', they say Macri also did . Or you too.
