Car Insurance For Foreign Vehicles

Does anyone know how to get car insurance for foreign vehicles? I drove here from the US and was permitted to enter the country. I was not able to buy insurance at any of the Argentine borders, they didn't offer it. I was, however, given a permit to drive my truck in Argentina. I'm looking into car insurance because I'm finding out it's required, but I can't find a company that will insure a vehicle with foreign licence plates. Any suggestions???

La Caja tries to cheat you if you have a wreck. I found this out first hand. If you dont have an international drivers permit from AAA in the us get one. There is a company called fastpassport or something that will mail them to you here. YOU NEED ONE! otherwise the insurance companies try to cheat you. I am having to take la caja to court in order to get them to pay.
