Car Registration

I am curious about how easy or difficult it is to buy/register, and legally drive a car or motorcycle in Buenos Aires, if you are a newcomer to the city/country. What paperwork is required and how do you go about getting it done?

When we bought our car we needed a CUIT, tax number and our passport. When you buy the car you pay for the resignation during that time. You get a green card which is the registration for the primary owner and a blue card, secondary owner. These registrations are good for two years. We had a walking dealer that help with all the paper too, but we only used him when we sold the car (which took three days).
