Chief Operating Officer: This role is ideal for a native English-speaker (or anyone fully fluent in English) with relevant experience (this is a high-profile position - COO experience, and/or extensive managerial and business operations knowledge is required) and the self-discipline to work from home.

WHO WE ARE:
We started 2.5 years ago as an online, organic tea company. During that time we have developed the overall best-selling tea product on Amazon.com and Amazon.ca. We have launched into the UK, France, and Germany. We have near-term plans for rolling out in Spain, Italy, and Mexico. And we have sights set on Japan, India, and China.

We've become skilled and knowledgeable at how to rank products well within the Amazon ecosystem. We will leverage that knowledge by launching other brands on Amazon, and positioning each of them for sale within 2-5 years. You will be given the opportunity to participate in the exits. We've identified 7 unique product segments already that we believe have the potential as a desirable brand. While the product development for each of them is unique, the strategy to rank well on Amazon is quite similar.

WHO YOU ARE:
You have a successful track record of steering change and development within a growing organization.
You are extremely organized and practice fanatical attention to detail, consistency, and accuracy.
You have a high level of business acumen including successful P&L management.
You can balance the delivery of projects against the realities of a budget.
Project management, problem solving, and cost management are your idea of a good time.
You are action oriented and enjoy working hard. Even when limited information is available you are not afraid to take charge of a situation.
You should be VERY data-driven and focused on accurate reporting.
Curiosity should fuel you to try new things. Data should convince you what works. Test, fail quickly, test, fail quickly, test, succeed, optimize, replicate success.
You are honest to a fault. If you see a supplier undercharged us, you will bring it to their attention.
You believe in delighting not just satisfying the customer.
You believe in continual self-improvement.
You encourage those around you to become the best versions of themselves and take on individual initiative.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. You will manage, assess, develop, assign accountabilities, conduct performance appraisals, and administer compensation adjustments to the existing team. You will add resources where necessary. You will find the right person for the right seat. You will determine when a team member needs help and nurture them. You will decide when a team member is no longer a good fit and let them go in a way that still respects their humanity.

2. You will work very closely with the owner to develop strategies, and vision. Then you will make it happen. You will assign the duties, follow up on their execution and report back to the owner.

3. We have built a solid repository of internal process documentation. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement of the existing documentation. As well as establishing new policies, procedures, internal controls, and accounting standards as necessary.

4. You will plan, coordinate, and execute the annual budget process.

5. You will promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.

6. You will have a weekly Skype meeting with the owner to discuss strategy and provide him with a comprehensive update on your work. In the early stages it is to be expected that you will communicate with the owner more frequently.

7. Manage and improve our inventory management procedures, supply chain, and logistics.

8. Develop and implement a system for tracking and reporting on the progress of the strategic plan implementation.

9. The owner has studied http://www.eosworldwide.com/traction , and would love to implement something like this for our team. He sees tremendous value in a framework like this and wants to see it rolled out.

10. The owner enjoys the creative business side of things - developing new product ideas, new brands, and new marketing initiatives. He wants to transition into a less critical role in the execution and running of the day to day operations. So we'd like to bring someone on board who has experience managing and building a team, growing a company based on strong financials, and who is hyper-obsessed with executing the finer details of a plan. The devil is always in the details. And we need someone who will sleep, eat, and dream about the details.

11. We are a 7 figure business now. You will help us grow to a 9 figure business.

COMPENSATION:
This position pays $5,000 USD / month. $4,000 USD a month will be provided for the first three months.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is entirely a remote position. Wherever is most comfortable for you. We expect this position to be a full-time commitment, but we won't be checking your time card. As long as you're staying on top of your duties and not letting things fall through the cracks, you can work the hours you find most productive for yourself. There are times when you'll need to be accommodating in your schedule to meet with team members, and vendors in different time zones (typically by phone or Skype).

Two comments:
1) You request people only apply via the craigslist email address provided with the posting but no email address is actually provided. I assume you just copied and pasted the text ad from CL where it is provided but you probably want to edit this to include a response email address.
2) You don't have a sample P&L for review.

My mistake:

[email protected] is the email for applications
