Conducimos Como Vivimos

The most awful story today was the guy that hit a cyclist riding on the shoulder of one of the autopistas and killed him, proceeded to drive 18km with the body stuck to the hood of his car until he got to the next peaje and the woman at the booth stopped him. His blood alc was of course ridiculously over the limit.

Yep that was terrible, actually unbelievable. Surprise surprise he is free. I am pretty sure I heard somewhere that at the peaje when the woman let him know what he had in the hood he cracked some joke about whether he had to pay double for that or something? Wtf...

What's even more aweful is the mediatic treatment of this terrible accident.

Since a journalist's son was the driver, the comments are not opened on any news site (Clarin, La Nacion). They go even further, writing an article where they show the driver as some kind of victim!

Of course, if the driver is a taxista or a normal guy, comments are opened and insults are allowed

This comes right after some guy killed himself, his wife, and his kid last month crossing those same train tracks. In fact it seems like I see stuff like this in the news all the time, yet its not that the signaling doesnt work or that the crossings are bad. People going around these barriers! Why? To save 15 seconds?

So stupid and impatient. That is what being vivo will get you.

Wow, that's terrible. I don't see what the point is in publishing that. Hopefully justice is served.
