Hello! I started a blog featuring English versions of previously untranslated short stories by Argentine writers. So far, I have posted translations of stories by Mempo Giardinelli, Isidoro Blaisten, Roberto Fontanarrosa and Abelardo Castillo. I am presently working on a translation of Samanta Schweblin's Agujeros Negros.
I started this blog because, since returning to the country of my birth, I have discovered writers not widely known in the English-speaking world, primarily because their work hasn't been translated. And because as a translator I enjoy working on works of fiction.
I hope you'll visit the blog and let me know what you think. Also, I am compiling a list of short story writers to translate and I would welcome your contributions and suggestions.
