Correo Argentino To Send A Letter To The Us.

If very important send it registered

That's the trick. Send it "Certificado". It goes First Class Registered mail.
There's regular Certificado & Certificado Express.
Both cases you get a tracking number. On the envelop it gets a barcode with the Track & Trace number.
You can follow it online at the Correo Argentino web site below. If it's a package you'll need to show a photo ID at the PO.

Postal Argentina rocks!

All myy recent letters delivered! yay!

What's the minimum cost of a "simple" letter to the US these days? What does a minimum weight certified letter cost?

Costs $1.10 USD for a basic letter, minimum weight from the US to Europe. I think the same to Argentina. Letters from the US to developed countries like the UK arrive quickly and safely. At the official rate this is around $3.25 USD from Argentina to the US. Of course you can't expect a "simple" letter to arrive so you have to send it certified which Rodolfo says costs 130 pesos! Labor costs are low in Argentina compared to the US, so why the huge price disparity?
