Hi, I'm moving out in December, and bringing my beloved mountain bike. DOes anybody cycle here? I need a fix of cycling very often, and it would be good to know what the deal is here in Buenos Aires. Any other cyclists ??

People cycle.

But near the capital, the only reason you need a mountain bike is to handle the cobblestone streets and the abundance of pot holes. Not only are there not any mountains, there aren't any hills.

Bring a mountain bike for the city streets and a road bike to get out to San Isidro, Tigre, & Pilar.

They've just made a cycle path in the city...although to be honest, a lot of it isn't real cycle path but "cordoned off half lane of highway" or "half a sidewalk you have to share with pedestrians...oh, and they don't know that half is supposed to be for cycles".

the area around the law faculty, along avenida libertador, is pretty good for cycling and it's where I head.
