DNI-Can I/Should I get one?

I will be studying abroad in Buenos Aires for half a year and was looking into getting a DNI. The process looks fairly simple so I was wondering,

A) Is it simple?
B) Would I qualify if I am only there for 6 months and will be there under a student visa?
C) If I do, is it worth it?

I don't know if your qualify, but the process would probably take more than 6 months. So if your student visa covers legally here for 6 months, don't bother.

You don't qualify if you're on a 6 month student visa. And if you are here for only 6 months there is really no point in getting one.
