Any advice on how to hit one of these places up and not get robbed? I understand that we do not want to give away the names of our favorite places, but does anyone have tips on how to do this without getting robbed?

There's a place next to coto, on Maure in Las Canitas. Generally pretty good rates. Might not be the best rate, but zero chance of getting robbed. If las canitas isn't nearby, just ask in any chinese supermarket. You'll generally get the going rate there.
