Just wanted to say that if anyone is looking for a place to donate things we had a wonderful experience with the Salvation Army. Called them last week and arranged for them to come today between 8-11. They arrived at 9.15 with 2 guys and a van and within 5 minutes had everything loaded and were on their way. Their number in Buenos Aires is 4911-7585.

Awesome suggestion. I just dropped off a bunch of clothes to the 1260 O'Brien Constitución Salvation Army store. Glad to hear they do pickups too as I have a bunch of kitchen items and "mom" gifts I'd like to donate. Their WhatsApp +54 9 11 2682-2034

I remember that my dad went regularly to the Salvation Army store in Chicago to buy items he needed for our home. Shortly after moving to Buenos Aires, someone I met at a milonga told me about the Ejercito de Salvacion tienda in Nuevo Pompeya. I was thrilled to know that there were Salvation Army stores in Buenos Aires. He took me to the Pompeya store where he bought all of his suits for the milonga.

The store in Constitución looked very well organized, I didn't look around but was glad to see the things on display for sale to people who needed things at a good price. Feels good to donate things I no longer need that others may find helpful.
