one of the things that doomed the old zoo was when the entrance fees hit $20USD.
The architecture of the mini-buildings is wonderful, the space is green and quiet and nice, there are ponds and animals.
I just live a bit down Santa Fe, and often go there to sit and read, sketch, and contemplate on sunny days.

One of my friends in BA is one of the project managers there. We got personal tours when we were in BA when all this was being worked on.
For me, at that time the freaky thing was an actual payphone from the old days seeing one again brought back memories of my first days in Argentina.
