Hi guys, i was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of an electricista close to zona norte(olivos),as my landlady has kept me waiting for ages to sort out some socket problems...I wouldnt mind having a plumber at close quarters too just in case a pipe or two become faulty.

Cheers guys!! :)

OK, I mentioned a real gem in another thread, here are the details.

His name is Gabriel, lives in Del Viso (40 km North of BA) but he can work in Capital too (will need to charge for the driving + parking too in that case).

He hardly speaks English but will be patient if you don't speak well Spanish.
His cell number: Gabriel at 155 748 8126
His home number: 02320-473 931

I've had my share of people working badly, showing up late, not having good tools, being incompetent, etc.

This guy has impressed me:
- He can work as a plomero, electricista, albanil, etc.
- He has premium tools (good sign...)
- He shows up on time
- He's smart (he used to own an inmobiliaria & appartments but got bankrupt with the 2002 crisis)
- He works professionally

Here is what he did in my house:

The transparent piece of polycarbonat had flown away due to a storm. I waited too long before replacing them and the piece of wood got infected by a mushroom = he replaced that part and it fits perfectly! That was a tricky job of course but he got the right approach.

This room was rrruinnneeeddddd because the terrace above was not properly sealed (no membrana) and the water would remain for a few days after a rain.

He did the albanil job + painted, it's like new now:

He also put varnish on the wooden curtain... But first he took the whole mechanism out to make a perfect job.

This is the terrace above the small room in the pics above.
He did put a coating on the ceramics so that the water doesn't go through.
He also noticed there was some kind of small "pool" near the exit, hence the water would remain after a rain. He found the solution by cutting out a cross in the ceramic and placing a special cement in the newly created drains. Last, he made a nice filter for the leafs that fall from the tree nearby.

I also had a leak at the exit of the water tank = with the help of a friend, he replaced the whole thing

Last, the truck of the basureros usually makes a u-turn in front of my house (if I don't put my bike or my car), hence they broke two times the smallish wall made of bricks.

he fixed that and it looks perfect

Also, I had two issues with electricity (quite complex ones) and he fixed both.

I have no interest in his activity (I don't take commission of course) but he did such a good job that he deserves I promote him.

You'll be 100% satisfied with him, really recommended.
