electronics in uruguay

I need to get a new camera. How are prices in uruguay?
My husband is going for a day, should he bring it or should I wait for my next visit from Europe?

Does anyone know?
 
Note sure but maybe a bit cheaper than Argentina, but still more expensive than in Europe.

I know that at the frontier with Brazil, on the Brazilian side, you can buy very cheap electronics but once you cross the border back you are supposed to declare it to pay the taxes, even for a small camera that could get hidden easily while the original box that makes the camera look like new would have mysteriously been trashed already...
