Hi, I'm moving to BA in late February and am looking for a cheaper apartment to rent ($200/month) and/or roommates, preferable in the Monserrat area. Any advice from anyone would be very helpful.

Thank you!

Just some advice, there are no apartments or roommate situations for anything near that price. A private apartment can be had (very small and in a rough neighborhood like San Cristóbal or Balvanera) for around $500 dollars and roommates usually charge slightly less for very bare accommodations maybe $400 dollars. If you can't swing those prices, you may want to reconsider or try something like couchsurfing, Buenos Aires is no longer an inexpensive city to live in.

Right, I didn't mean renting an apartment for that price, just looking for roommates to get my share to that price. I have a buddy who lives in Monserrat with roommates that pays $1000 pesos a month for his place. I found comparto depo or whatever to find people and that looks like it may work out...
