Escribano / Quick Claim Deed?

I bought an apartment in San Telmo several years ago with my former business partner. I have paid my ex partner to have full ownership of the apartment. I want to change the deed/title of the apartment to be in my name only.
Does anyone have experience with this sort of transaction? In the U.S. we could file a quick claim deed through a title company. Does such a process exist in Buenos Aires?
Any recommendations for an English speaking Escribano?
Thanks of any input you may have.
