I have enjoyed BA expats for years with the valuable information (and of course the whining). Have been thinking of moving temporary/permanent from Buenos Aires to maybe Spain, Germany or France. Does anyone know of an active forum like this one that could help me out . Many thanks.....

Here's another link to forums in multiple countries: http://www.expatfocus.com/expatriate-forums

Here's another site that includes links to expat forums, country by country, and baexpats.org is at the top of the list for Argentina:

It is also at the bottom.

These, collectively, are a great resource. We aren't thinking of relocating, as the OP is, but can perhaps ask for some insight from expats in Greece, about the up-to-the-minute actual situation there, regarding availability of euros and other realities of daily life. We will be going to a wedding on Mykonos this month, and have no idea what kind of shortages we might want to prepare for.

If anyone on this forum has been to Greece within the last few months, or is in touch with people there, I'd appreciate any knowledge you have. Last month, because of the complete halt to imports, wineries were unable to bottle their wine, because all the bottles are imported. We don't know if that situation has been resolved, but in our book, that would be a real Greek Tragedy!

We are in the Greek islands right now, been here for a month. Everything seems normal, crowded with French tourists. It's beautiful here, all the wine and ouzo you want to drink, all the most beautiful food you want to eat. Yes, you can get $ out of the cash machines.
