Expiration of police clearance certificate

Hi, I am new to Buenos Aires and I have all of my papers apostilled from South Africa. I am trying to apply for a family reunification visa and I want to know when my police clearance from South Africa expires? At the airport Ezieza they told us: no it won't expire in Argentina. (in south africa it expires after 6 months) but I have seen a few things online that says it expires in 3 months in Argentina. Does anyone have experience with this?
 
The Embassy of Argentina in the United States recently when asked has affirmed that there is a 90-day validity to all police reports despite there being a 2 and a half month turn-around time for apostilles here. You may want to reconfirm with someone at Migraciones.
 
The FBI background check from the US is 90 days. So it might be similar to that.
