Today La Negra ( Mercedes Sosa) passed on to eternity and an incredible legacy of music will remain forever for Argentina and the world.

The scenes from the Congress Building of ordinary Argentines showing their last respects have been moving and show that millions of us here held her in high esteem.

Mercedes Sosa was a big supporter of the 'Bibliotecas Populares' and i saw her being presented with a thanks from the organisation that supports them last year. Many musicians noted her social work by playing, before she sang too...
