Filming In Buenos Aires

My daughter films commercials all over the world. Recently she had an excellent experience in Slovenia and another in Ireland so she is used to doing high quality work even though things may not be exactly the same as in the U.S.

But she's been reluctant to use Buenos Aires as a location because of all the problems she's heard about with the currency, with getting supplies or services if she needs them, with locating a good production house, with crime and corruption.

I know nothing about these issues, but it seems to me, with all the artistic folks we have here, it should be possible for to shoot in BsAs.


I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Hello!

Tell your daughter to check out the website "Distrito Audiovisual Buenos Aires Ciudad" (Buenos Aires Audiovisual District). It's a center (created by the City of Buenos Aires) for film and audio production in the city.

Actually all of the major agencies are here and there is allot of high quality/award winning production going on. And as Ed suggests, there is a resource right here on the forum.

I heard that last year afip and anses put their eyes in this field, so many productions cut their work load.
