Finally a green light

Hello all,

Posted here saying hi a few months ago -- many, many visa/work delays since. But very thankfully we'll be arriving in a few weeks.

Quick question: I'm aware of the import issues and duty costs, so we're not shipping anything. But even travelling light we'll have extra bags. Maybe 7-8 standard pieces of luggage I guess (between 2 people, on separate flights).

Will we have a problem clearing customs? Should we just say we're on a 3 month holiday, or explain that we're entering on tourist visas and transferring to working ones?

Any tips would be great -- thanks!

Just say you are tourists, if you are asked

We always have way too many bags filled with books, kitchen stuff, etc. We have never been asked what we're doing, or needed to pay any tax. Don't forget to remove price tags and wrapping on anything new.
