ok, so here is a bit more info, if you go to the below link.

http://mibuenosayres.com/autocine-en-el-rosedal/

it starts at 21hrs and it is primarily an drive-in like style, but people
are also welcome to sit on the grass and watch the films as well.
the audio is broadcast on 107.9 so a radio is probably helpful, but i would imagine there are plenty of people with radios. or if someone has gone in years past maybe they can post about what it was like.

cheers

In the past they have set up Bleachers for the pedestrian crowd with speakers for the sound. Anyways, I will just bring my phone with radio, and maybe I can convince my father in law to let me take the car....

Peace,

Liam

Thanks for posting this! I always loved the outdoor film screenings of NYC and SF, so I can't wait to check this out. If anyone else plans to attend the Jan. 10 showing, let me know, maybe we can organize drinks and snacks :)

Does anyone know if the movies will have English subtitles for those of us with rusty Spanish skills?

I doubt it. But I bet if enough people commented, they would consider adding subtitles in English for future screenings. Not sure how easy they´d be to read, though, in the Rosedal with all the people.

Bafici usually has English subtitles in their films because they are part of the prints that the filmmakers send to all the festivals. I´m sure the English-speaking folk also commented they enjoy that feature so they keep it. Sometimes the films have both Spanish and English subtitles.
