Wrong. Human rights abuses in Saudi Arabia are common. Nothing new. They have never been of concern to the United States government. It's part of the price of doing business with the Saudis.

Surely a different situation when a USA resident, and journalist, is killed and dismembered in a foreign embassy, but you go ahead.
 
US citizens (not just temporary residents) have had problems in Saudi Arabia without a lot of help from their embassy. Not only that but, as I aid, the US does not do anything about the endless human rights abuses in Saudi.
 
How many people did George Bush cause to be killed in Iraq? How many people died because of Lyndon Johnson's fanatical pursuit of war in Vietnam? How many people do the Chinese kill, suppress and imprison for not conforming? The list goes on and on.
