Lots of realtors speak English. Call any of the major brokers, they'll have someone on staff. I wish I could reccomend someone but I only have a list of people I wouldnt reccomend

Mary, I'd just try my luck and look for apartments in the internet and then check if the real estate company has someone speaking english (most of them have). The problem with having only one person here is that there is no central directory for all available real estate to rent as in some other countries, so you might only get a very small selection of apartments by focusing on one real estate company.

FYI an unfurnished apartment ( long term lease of 2 years ) does not come with fridge and dishwasher unlike the US. It will just have a stove-over and AC units ( generally not central ). You will need a garantia for this kind of rental.

A furnished apartment will be more expensive, no garantia required, max lease is 6 months and you can renew it if you want.

There is no MLS or central directory but there is zonaprop.com.ar
rent = alquilar (in pesos, simple alquilar no temporario, if you'r ready for that)
check the boxes of recoleta, palermo and belgrano,
and voila, the rest is numbers, pictures and maps!

This one looks nice, close to palermo but outside tourist alley, very nice kitchen and open view
http://aviso.zonapro...0612.1429100936 call KOT asesores immobiliarios

But of course no apartment could beat this location and quality of construction:

Plaza Carlos Pellegrini in the Retiro side of Recoleta is close to many bars and restaurants, patio bullrich (boutiques), close too the city center too, and still within a quiet part of embassy row, Recoleta/Retiro. Truly beautiful. Call Exa (super big and trusted Realtor, maybe too big)

Maybe this apartment could compete: Beautiful rationalistic building, just renovated, upon a sloped park with 300 years old trees. Realtor Zemborain

And then this is probably one of the best buildings in the city, in the best location with the best view:

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND at least looking at this apartment for fun. It really is the best of the city. the price is in official dollar To rent it you need to call Javier Lobo.

If you want more recent construction be aware that not everything that shines is gold, and go straight to Puerto Madero, to the South of the city

cool, this one's got a rooftop garden AND view upon one of the Palermo parks. Worth looking at it just to know about Buenos Aires' very interesting rooftops. Very atypical. Super location! http://aviso.zonapro...0612.1429100936

And this one is not nearly so over-priced, older building but probably well maintained. Furnished and the realtor speaks English

Matt84, look up for something here in the northern suburbs for me, would you, darlin'?
Our rent is going up to 7600 ARS next month (we started at 5800 ARS one year ago, expenses are about ARS 1000/mo), the exchange rate dropped, and we don't feel like we are living in a €600 a month estate.

So how much is the going rate for a Guarantor for dwelling leasing purpose there?

Ceviche, are you in the know?
