I know two people who have had the first dose of Sputnik - fever/headaches etc for 2 days then OK... Will update after the second dose. Both work in hospitals and are approximately 30 years old.

The Russians had a head start in that the Gamaleya Institute had for years been doing research on related/similar viruses.

It is a shame that pandemic issues in general and vaccines in particular have become such a political football. The raging Russophobia in some quarters has distorted perceptions to a lamentable degree.
