We have had mixed results with this travel subsidy federal program in the past. The first and second time we had some success. The third time, last year, we left the money on table after taking the initial valid trip. It is a lot of work just to find a place to use your refund voucher on a future tourist type activity.

This time you have until October 31 to use a 50% refund of any tourist activity taken during may 24-31. Local, no travel tourism is valid.

Id recommend tourists leave Argentina during this time or hunker down & not travel, this is when places normally filled with a relatively educated crowd start filling up with trash. Vast majority of businesses, unfortunately, accept these vouchers & Argentines pool money in groups to get half off villas, resorts, etc & it can be quite difficult to escape. Although less & less businesses are likely to accept it this time around as last November/December I heard endless complaints from business owners on the quality of tourist it attracted.

You can use the voucher for many other things besides resorts and hotels. Local regional products, museums, or any other tourism type products and activities that are near where you live. https://previaje.gob.ar/rubros-y-actividades
